Our foundation: Te Ao Māori and community

Te Whare Puna Ora was established in October 2025, born from a vision to provide culturally grounded healing and support in Hawkes Bay.

Our philosophy is embodied in the whakataukī: Strong Wahine nurture strong Tāne, and together they shape Rangatahi who thrive with confidence and purpose.

We are a community-supported, environmentally friendly Whare offering a holistic approach to well-being, focusing on the strength and resilience of our people.

Past Achievements

On the 5th of August 2026, we were honored to be a part of Paora Moyle's book launch hosted by Te Pati Māori in Parliament. Paora's Purakau honored wāhine who have endured violence, colonisation, state care, addiction, poverty and deep intergenerational trauma — and still chose healing.
